Tableau: The Most Effective Data Software System

Posted on February 21, 2020 by jazminebatista

Tableau is a data visualization software brand that focuses on analyzing data cubes, and relational databases, and exploring visualization techniques. Many factors come with Tableau that makes it easier for brands like data visualization, creating quick and interactive visualizations, the amount of data that can be handled, and how easy it is to use. Being able to use other scripting languages along with Tableau, and the responsive dashboard are factors that help bring in more users to use their system and remain loyal to the data software.

It’s a technology that many companies use to support data blending, dashboarding, and complex computations for the reason of making amazing visualizations that drive insights that cannot be discovered by a spreadsheet. It has become one of the most popular forms of data visualization because it’s one of the easiest and the most dedicated systems. Tableau is quick to create interactive visualizations within minutes. It provides an endless amount of variations when visuals are one of the best data visualization systems. Tableau is easy to learn, and useful compared to other systems like Domo, and Python, meaning any person without any knowledge of coding can use and learn Tableau without a problem. There are many different options available within Tableau, which can help a person gain experience with the program and coding overall. Tableau can create millions of columns and rows of data without a problem. Different visualizations can be made with varying amounts of data without impacting the data provided or how the dashboards perform. Tableau even has an option that allows the person to make data connections to data sources like SQL.

Tableau allows you to download and incorporate data from other data sources like Python, which can help Tableau when performing data cleansing during tasks with different projects. It helps with many complex and challenging table calculations and performance issues within Tableau. It allows you to import many packages and visuals from Tableau to Python or vise versus. Tableau makes it easier for users to customize their dashboard for specific devices like a laptop or mobile phone, which is a great and helpful element to the system. It instantly knows what device the person is viewing the spreadsheet from and makes sure that the correct version of the system is being used in the right device. As one of the most used data software programs for the past couple of years, Tableau needs to make a decision on incorporating machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence, since most systems are now offering these options and can surpass Tableau.

In one of my current positions, I manage a local fitness studio we use Tableau to make charts more visual, and easier for corporate and the owner herself to understand the data in a more natural way. It makes it easy just downloading an Excel sheet, and takes minutes to make a quick chart comparing all the data connections you need to explain. It has to be one of the most effective and efficient data software to help brands evaluate and understand their data to their company as a whole.
