I believe I am an expert in social media marketing, because my day to day tasks include creating social media content for my employer. In this day in age, social media is becoming increasingly important, since it is one of the main ways to market to a consumer. Furthermore, it’s important to understand how the customer engages with a specific post. At my job, I don’t only create the social media content, I am also learning how they are generating to their current target markets. Engaging with the consumers, is one of the main ways to win your audience over. I believe it’s important that any marketing team or company include someone with the skills that I have to understand how social media marketing works psychologically to the consumer and what the results mean. The owner at my job depends on me for social media marketing campaigns and expects me to read her results as she is not social media savvy.
Social media is rapidly becoming one of the most important aspects of digital marketing, by providing incredible benefits that help reach millions of consumers worldwide. Not only is digital marketing able to reach a plethora of people but it is also one of the cheapest marketing tools available. For example, if you promote a post on Instagram for $30 for one week, that has the potential to reach 8,000 individual profiles. A customer journey can be impacted by any ads, social media posts, or commercials they see on a product or service. I apply all of these facts in my daily life for my fitness studio, they help assemble a loyal customer base and increase foot traffic. An increase in foot traffic into our studio means potential members, which means potential revenue.
